* Really intrigued by the "warmer in one
room, cooler in the other" capabilities that's innovative!
* This product strikes my interest as a
most-viable solution for heating and cooling systems in senior living environments.
Designers and engineers struggle with
finding user-friendly, capable, quiet and
highly functional HVAC systems for senior
living environments. This product appears
to change the game!
* This sounds promising by providing
residents control of the environment with
less noise and more efficiency.
* Good to see evolution in HVAC options
instead of the same old standards. We
really need to trend as an industry away
from PTAC units and with the added
smart technology this looks like a great
option. Affordability will be the key
though.

In senior living applications, it's important to
create a consistently comfortable environment
so residents don't suffer adverse health effects
from exposure to temperature swings. By proactively addressing external conditions, the
LG Multi V 5 provides senior living facilities
with an effortless air conditioning solution for
their residents' comfort.
Multi V 5 is equipped with outdoor humidity and air temperature sensors. These sensors
modify system operation as weather conditions change to maintain occupant comfort.
Unlike traditional HVAC systems that have
a universal on and off functionality for the
entire system, variable refrigerant flow (VRF)
with heat recovery allows for simultaneous
heating and cooling. The
Multi V 5 also features
a new biomimetic fan
design, which enables
the unit to operate more
efficiently and increase
airflow, while reducing the perceived noise
level by approximately 20
percent.
The Multi V 5 system
is available from 6- to
42-tons, with a choice of
three-phase 208V, 230V
or 460V electrical power as heat recovery/
heat pump outdoor units. As a smaller and
lighter solution, the Multi V 5 20-ton not only
reduces footprint requirements, but also helps
to reduce installation costs.
