care industry professionals, based
on a rigorous review of detailed
submissions that include responses
to a series of questions, challenges
encountered during the design
process, costs and square footage,
details about the community and
services provided, and other key
factors to support each firm's photos
and floor plans. Firms pay a small
entry fee for project consideration;
those that are accepted pay an
additional publication fee based on the
number of pages they wish to use to
present their project. These projects
(beginning on page 44) are not vetted
by the editors of Environments for
Aging. Projects not accepted by the
jury are not published.
