REMODEL/RENOVATION PROJECT GALLERY Tobin Parnes Design (after image) BEFORE Sarah Neuman in Westchester - The New Jewish Home - Physical and Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation Suite Sam Oberter Photography (after image) BEFORE Simpson House - Flanagan Bringing new life to an otherwise dim lower level space, the design looked to bring in both a warm, rich material palette and a sense of the outdoors. The thoughtful solution increased the overall usable space and created one of a handful of facilities in New York with an actual functional car therapy setting. Opening the core of the existing nursing wing to create a short-term rehab allowed the bistro to be centrally located. The interior design of the space was intended to offer a hospitality experience, so the stay feels temporary and the focus remains on rehabilitation and returning home. The dining venue is the epitome of casual elegance providing hints of tradition through the elaborate chandeliers and finishes. Creating an open floor plan provided the solution to the owner's paramount concern of an unwelcoming, underwhelming first note for visitors and potential residents.
