Temple Square

The city's most famous attraction,
Temple Square sits in the heart of
downtown Salt Lake and is home to
the Salt Lake Temple that was built
by Mormon pioneers in the 1800s.
The 35 acres in and around the
square house a variety of activities
and guided tours of historic sites, interactive exhibits, art displays, parks,
and gardens. The largest genealogy
library of its kind in the world and the
renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir
and Orchestra are also located here.
All activities are free.

Sights worth seeing

Spring in Salt Lake City is marked by warming temperatures (expect 60s during the day and 40s at night) in the
valley, while snow is still common in the mountains. The
city's attractions run the gamut, from hiking to museums
to self-guided walking tours, with plenty of places to dine
and drink along the way. Here are some noteworthy attractions for those seeking to explore while in town.

Preservation Utah, the first statewide
historic preservation organization in
the western United States, offers free
self-guided walking tours organized
by specific areas of town or themes.
Those include historic buildings,
downtown, historic South Temple
Street, Salt Lake City & County Building, religious sites, and the University
of Utah Presidents Circle. Tour maps
are available for print online or by
downloading the organization's app
at https://preservationutah.org.

Art galleries

Salt Lake City is home to many pieces of
art. Utah Museum of Contemporary Art,
for example, includes five gallery areas
within its expansive space. Located at the
University of Utah, Utah Museum of Fine
Arts' collection features nearly 20,000
original works of art.

Great Salt Lake State Park
Seventeen miles west of Salt Lake City,
this park is home to Great Salt Lake, a
remnant of prehistoric Lake Bonneville,
which covered more than 20,000 square
miles of land. Open year-round, the park
is popular for boating, birding, kayaking,
biking, and sweeping views of the lake.

Utah Olympic Park

Built for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games,
this attraction is located 25 miles east
of Salt Lake City in Park City, Utah, and
includes a 2002 Winter Games museum
and a variety of adventure activities such
as a bobsled experience.

Visit the expo hall

Attendees will find the latest products and services for senior living
environments on exhibit in the expo hall during all three days of the show.
Monday, April 8
4:15-5 p.m.
In the lobby near the expo hall entrance, attendees can
enjoy cocktails while perusing projects on display in the
gallery and visiting with project team members to discuss
their work.

Earn your credits

EFA Expo offers more than 45 educational sessions, three keynote
presentations, facility tours, and pre-conference workshops that
are designed to comply with accreditation requirements accepted
by most major credentialing organizations.
Architects-This year's program includes up to 22 hours of CE
credits available for AIA members.
Interior designers-Twenty-two credit hours are available for
members of all IDCEC organizations, including ASID, IDC, and IIDA.
EDAC (Evidence-based Design Accreditation and Certification)-
Up to 12 EDAC credit hours are available.
