The inaugural Nobu Hotel is being built in the former Centurion Tower of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and is slated to open late this year; its guest rooms will include feature walls displaying custom Japanese calligraphy (shown). Other design touches within the hotel will include wood tile flooring in the lobby; carpets bearing elements of cherry blossoms and Zen gardens in the hallways; and oversized walk-in showers outfitted in black Umi tiles in the guest room baths. Ramsay Steakhouse Lands on Strip G ordon Ramsay is an in-your-face kind of guy, something that’s typically reflected in the designs of his restaurants. That’s definitely the case at the celebrity chef ’s latest steakhouse, in the Paris Las Vegas. Designed by EDG Interior Architecture + Design, Gordon Ramsay Steak’s notable features include a metalclad, 50-ft.-long “chunnel” entrance inspired by the undersea rail tunnel that links Paris and London, and a massive mural of the Union Jack flag on its domed ceiling. —Megan Krause 10 Boutique Design | July+August 2012 Gin & Sake Productions
