The NoMad Hotel Broadway at 28th St., Manhattan 88 Boutique Design | November+December 2012 Nicola Benoit Cinero Named for the neighborhood it sits in (North of Madison Square Park), this 168-key hotel is housed in a turn-of-thecentury beaux arts building. Its interiors are by French designer Jacques Garcia, who describes the environments he created as “a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility.” That approach includes residential-style guest rooms that feature richly textured, custom designed furnishings, along with original artwork.
