That process involved such steps as tweaking furniture layouts to allow better views of Rittenhouse Square and the city skyline; augmenting the rooms' existing walnut case goods with walnut upholstered headboards; and installing new end and coffee tables in a soft gold finish. Updates to the corridors included new wallpaper in neutral textures, custom taupe-and-mocha carpeting and the installation of upholstered accent panels at the entrances to side corridors in an effort to give the hallways a more residential feel. According to BLTa's Lisle, The Rittenhouse's renovation has been well-received. "The suites are booked all the time, and the lobby is very active," she says.
