BY NATALIE KNOTH 84 boutiquedesign.com JULY/AUGUST 2014 LOCATED AT the Kessler Canyon in De Beque, Colo., this suite at Orchard Lake Guesthouse is rooted in the wild beauty and cultural influences of the West. A bed frame made of fallen juniper trees harvested from the state's Grand Mesa is complemented by locally sourced wooden nightstands and a dresser, all crafted by a local artisan. At the center of the space, a moose antler chandelier gives off a soft glow, while authentic Native American rugs-featured throughout the Marriott Autograph Collection property-incorporate the suite's burgundy and brown color scheme. An example of intricately beaded ceremonial regalia above the bed ties together the local influences. C O U R T E S Y O F T H E K E S S L E R C A N YO N RUSTIC RETREAThttp://www.boutiquedesign.com
