Broad is the most recent of the nine past Boutique 18 winners profiled in the "Rising

Stars Revisited" feature (page 40). Since being inducted into the B18 last April, she has
gone from the Puccini Group to NICOLEHOLLIS. Being named to Boutique Design's
roster of up-and-coming designers helped make that change happen. "The recognition
led to some great additional press opportunities that provided me with added exposure
and confidence that were very beneficial as I pursued this career move," she says. The
recap of what Broad and other past B18 honorees are up to now celebrates Boutique
Design's 10th anniversary.

Berkus is widely known in consumer circles for the variety of home goods he
created for Target and as a home-makeover expert on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." But
one of his most recent commissions was a high-profile hospitality project: He created one
of six Signature Suites within the Loews Regency Hotel in New York. (The others were
designed by Rottet Studio, Meyer Davis Studio Inc. and Haynes-Roberts Inc.) Berkus says
he sought create a space that "feels fresh and new and unexpected." The results of his
efforts are part of the "Living Large" feature that starts on page 32.

in 2002. He likens designing hospitality spaces to making a movie or mounting a stage
production, using a creative process that involves script-writing, stage-setting and
scenography. That approach has landed Chebaane's firm commissions for such clients as
Four Seasons, InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton, Marriott and Renaissance, as well
as numerous independent hotels and restaurants throughout the world. His projects
typically include thought-provoking art installations that Chebaane creates himself; that
includes the spritz-inspired lighting he incorporated into the ZEST all-day dining space
in the JW Marriott Absheron Baku hotel that's shown in the Last Detail on page 80.
