from my mother; very quiet, pragmatic and always immersed in a book. I
admired him and wanted to work with numbers, just like he did.
Hospitality was a perfect world for me. It blended passion and logic as well
as the art of hosting and working with numbers. After I obtained my bachelor's
degree, I envisioned continuing my studies in a hotel school, but my parents
refused, as they wanted me to pursue a different career path. At this point, I
pursued a degree in literature and after two years decided to study marketing
and management in Lyon. Once I graduated, I obtained an internship at
Novotel Lyon (Novotel being one of the core brands of AccorHotels), and five
years later, obtained my first management position in Paris.
What Were your earliest experiences at accorhotels like?

After a one-year internship at Novotel Lyon, I was hired to work at the hotel fulltime. After that, I pursued other hospitality opportunities outside of France. I was

then appointed as an executive general housekeeper at an AccorHotels property
in England. As I did not make a lot in this role, I was also working in the food and
beverage department to earn a bit more. I really enjoyed my time in England, as it
was a great way to practice the English language.
tell us about your time at club med, and What brought you back
to accorhotels?

I worked at Club Med for nine years, first as country manager in the Bahamas
and the Caribbean, then as director of operations in the Americas based in
Miami. Initially, I went to Martinique to implement a franchise model for Club
Med and was also in charge of franchisee development.
After experiencing a few successes, I decided to go back to Europe as
AccorHotels was repositioning its Sofitel brand and I was very excited to be a part
of that. Initially, I was in charge of Sofitel France, then, Southern Europe, then
