BUSINESS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

The tale of one family-owned and operated business in Erie
Colorado natives Kerry Williams, Sam
Ortiz and Justin Adams grew up along
the Front Range and know the area
well. When the three acquired Crating
Technologies and Cratek Supply in
2016, they already had a solid customer
base, thanks to the two companies'
long track records in Colorado. Crating
Technologies started as Boulder Shipping
Services in 1985-a small packaging and
shipping storefront. In the 1990s, the
business outgrew the space in Boulder
and moved to a more suitable space
in Longmont, where it was renamed
Crating Technologies.
Today, Crating Technologies provides
custom built crates to suit machines,
equipment, tools and freight of all kinds
for safe transport both domestic and
abroad. For its customers' convenience,
the company also offers professional,
hands-on service of packing and
securing the customers' freight at their
location.
Cratek Supply Company gives industries
and the public a wide range of choices
in the packaging field, such as boxes,
bubble wrap, foam, plastic products and
tape, to name a few. Popular products
are warehoused and can be purchased
with a walk-in visit or can be ordered via
email or phone call.
