NIGHTLIFE

BEST PLACES
FOR LIVE MUSIC

Live

Jade Presents has a simple mission... " Set the
stage for audiences to experience exceptional
live events, enriching the community, and
making it a better place to live. " Since their
beginning back in 1990, they have more than
lived up to that mission.
This small (but mighty) live entertainment
organization brings over 150 live events to
the Fargo Metro annually and manages every
aspect of their events. Nationally acclaimed
bands and comedians, local musicians... heck,
even ventriloquists are among the things to
expect from Jade Presents.

2021 OFFICIAL VISITORS GUIDE

Not only do they entertain us with live
events, they give back to the arts community
in so many tangible ways. Every year, Jade
Presents partners with the Arts Partnership
to distribute artist grants. To-date, over
$130,000 has been given out to local artists
with big ideas and ambitions.

Bluestem Amphitheater, The Historic
Fargo Theatre, Fargo Brewing
Company, Sanctuary Events Center are
just a few of the venues that act as regular
homes to Jade Presents events. While live
concerts are their bread and butter, the
gang has been known to dream up some
truly " North of Normal " experiences such
as The Bacon & Beer Festival, Roughrider
Ink & Iron Expo, The Pig & the Pint, and
Sister Cities Smokeout.
While 2020 presented challenges for
everyone, among the hardest hit are local
stages and live events. The passionate,
innovative, and unbelievably creative team
at Jade Presents managed to keep the
entertainment coming through virtual live
performances, take-home festivals, and
outdoor concerts.

They say the
heart of rock and
roll is still beating
(or at least Huey
Lewis does).
The heart of the
local music scene
beats loud and
proud and there's
no shortage of
places to hear it
for yourself.

Drinks & tunes

Local, original
music

Feeling jazzy?

Curious about the music
being made by Fargo
natives? The local music
scene is comprised of
insane talent and diverse
genres. For original music
from local and touring
bands, The Aquarium is a
must-stop spot. You can
also catch original artists
at Sidestreet and Red
Raven Espresso Parlor.

Wild Terra

Enjoy a meal, drink,
and good conversation
with music in the air.
On Thursdays, head to
the HoDo Lounge for
live music from a range
of genres. Sip local
craft beers at Junkyard
Brewing Company
as singer-songwriters
serenade you almost
nightly, or taste some
regional brews at Front
Street Taproom while
local musicians play.

Urban 42 sources both
its ingredients and
extremely accomplished
musicians locally for its
Thursday jazz nights.
Fargo's most popular
Irish themed bar,
Dempsey's, gets a little
jazzy on Mondays, and
the city's only urban
cidery, Wild Terra, often
hosts local musicians.

Front Street Taproom

Dance the
night away
Sing with high energy
cover bands at the
Pickled Parrot or
Shotgun Sally's. For
large dance floors and
live country or rock
bands, head to TAK
Music Venue (open to
all ages!), the West
Fargo VFW, or the
Windbreak - famous
for its Thursday ladies'
night drink specials.

Beautiful venues,
big bands
Fargo has been known
to draw in some pretty
well-known acts such
as Paul McCartney,
Taylor Swift, The Rolling
Stones... need we go
on? The top venues
for concerts such as
these are Bluestem
Amphitheater, Sanctuary
Events Center, Scheels
Arena, Fargo Theatre,
and the FARGODOME.
