The Intermountain Ski Council and the Bogus Basin Ski Club
co-sponsored the FWSA Convention held in Boise in June. These
BBSC members helped make this Convention so successful.

All of our clubs in the Intermountain Ski Council are gearing up for their local area events
and ski trips. Many of the clubs
sponsor ski swaps and sales.
These are exciting times with all
the ski gear that is changing with
improved technology. We all want
the latest and greatest, don't we?
Not all can afford new skis or
boards from the retail shops, so
these swaps are very useful for
most of us. Please bring in your
lightly used gear and put a favorable price on it so someone new
can get more skiing or boarding days.
The Bogus Basin Ski Club
will be sponsoring the Warren
Miller Film Festival for the 62nd
continuous year, at the historic
7O

Egyptian Theater in Boise. It is
scheduled for November 16-18,
2017, and is the largest fund
raiser of the year. The club
shares revenues with the volunteer ski patrol, Recreation Unlimited, and the Ski Education
Foundation.
We are pleased to announce
that we have a new club in our
council, The McCall Winter
Sports Club. This is a group that
supports youth racing and instruction. It is a very active group
of parents that want to have
some options for their activities,
as well. Check them out when
you visit Brundage Mountain.

The council will sponsor a
Rendezvous Ski Trip to Sun Valley this winter. It is open for
all FWSA members and guests.
It is scheduled for January 2 - 7,
2018. If you are interested in attending, please call Sun Valley
and make your own reservations.
The rates are very attractive with
half price lift tickets, so just mention "Intermountain Ski Council" to
get the best rates. You can come
to enjoy the best skiing terrain in
the country all week or just for
the weekend. The council will
sponsor a reception with food
and beverage Saturday night. I
can only say that it was a blast
last year and encourage other
clubs to join us.
