Celebrate the new ski season and make your plans to
join the Far West Ski Association's Ski Week in Aspen
and Snowmass. Although our group will be staying
in Snowmass, the town of Aspen is nearby. Thus,
you'll want to take a shuttle for day trips to ski the
surrounding mountains, and/or spend an evening or
two investigating the night life - fine dining, a pub
crawl or merely stroll the charming streets.

Aspen / Snowmass
January 29 - February 5, 2O22
Far West Ski Association members
will be heading to Aspen/ Snowmass for
the Annual FWSA Ski Week January 29 -
February 5, 2022. Mary Manning with
Aspen Snowmass and Gloria SaiyaWoods
with Ski.com are thrilled to be
hosting this ski week. This resort is consistently
ranked #1 for families and skiers
of all abilities by all ski magazines.
Snowmass is the largest of the four
mountains in the area. Its vast expanse
of terrain includes 94 trails and the
largest descent of any resort in North
America. It has a top elevation of 12,509
feet and an average snowfall of 300 " .
Snowmass has varied terrain and the area
has three other nearby ski mountains -
Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and

Buttermilk. There is something for everyone
whether you ski , board, or want
to relax in a beautiful destination with so
much to see and do. Activities include
tubing; snow biking; snowcat dinners on
Snowmass or Aspen Highland mountains;
spas; snowshoes tours; shopping; and unlimited
restaurants and bars. The city of
Aspen is a few miles down the road for
additional dining options, nightlife, and
shopping.
Councils will be using the following
lodging properties: Top of the Village;
Stonebridge Inn Hotel; Tamarack Condos;
Timberline Condos; and Pokolodi
Lodge. We have a range of room types
available such as hotel rooms or condos
with ski in/ski out options and lodging a

short walk to the ski hill. Snowmass'
base area has expanded and now has
many restaurants, an ice rink, indoor
climbing wall, Alpine " Breathtaker "
Mountain Coaster, bars, and shops.
Aspen Snowmass is a partner with
IKON, and people who purchased the
IKON Pass or the IKON Base Pass Plus
using the special FWSA/Ski.com IKON
link will get $50 off their Snowmass trip
package. The IKON Pass gets people 7
days of skiing/riding at any of the 4 ski
hills in the area, and those with the IKON
Base Pass Plus will get 5 days of
skiing/riding. Participants also have the
option to purchase 3, 4, and 5-day lift
tickets at great group rates if they don't
have one of the IKON passes.
