Orange Council of Ski Clubs
is celebrating 50 years. It was
formed in 1971. Come to our Orange
Council's Annual Picnic to
help us commemorate this milestone
Anniversary on October 2.
Contact one of our clubs for more
information and a reservation for
this special free event.
Another special event held
each February is our annual Club
President's Dinner. This is an
opportunity for our clubs to talk
about their trips, recap the FWSA
trip (this year to Aspen Snowmass)
and to discuss next year's trip to
Jackson Hole - (2023).
Orange Council's Race
League is Schusski Race League.
We compete with Rokka Race
League and have just had race
dates set for February 12, 2022
and March 19, 2022. We will be
joining FWRA for the race finals
on April 10, 2022. These will all
be held at Mammoth Mountain
Ski Resort. Please check online in
Despite the pandemic, Orange Council and its club members have kept
busy this past year. Between skiing (Fountain Valley Ski Club's trip to
Telluride - shown above) and other outdoor activities which include tennis
tournaments, and bike rides along the ocean, sailing and boating were

part of the expense for our
racers. Please join us.
Shown above is a picture
from Fountain Valley Ski Club's
2021 trip to Telluride. They had a
great time. This season, FVSC has
Mammoth drive-up trips, as well
as, a trip to Steamboat Ski Resort
planned for this season. To get
ready for these trips, they have
special weekly kayaks and paddle
board workouts. This is just part
of their workout/event program.
Join them for their fun group!
Huntington Beach Ski Club
also has a Mammoth trip scheduled.
This year, they plan to go to
Taos. They also have an active
kayaking and paddle board program.

page for their schedule.
SnowBounders Ski Club has
scheduled a trip to Salt Lake City
in addition to their Mammoth
trips. They also have special

monthly luncheons for their
members.
Balboa Ski and Sports is
supporting the council trip to
Aspen Snowmass. They have one
of the last bus programs for Mammoth
trips in the council. Pictured
on this page is a sample of their
tennis program which has been
very strong since 1955. Their biking
program is a combination of a
sports event and a social event.
Balboa is also known for their
summer social meetings
A number of our clubs have
kept up their social program during
these hard times. But things
are getting much better and all we
need is for you to join us. Check
the Orange Council website for
club information. We welcome
you and hope you will find a great
spot in one of our clubs.
