Is Zermatt your favorite ski area in the world? For many people it is and we're going
back there this season. We loved skiing there in 2014 so we are eager to go again. Our upcoming
FWSA International Ski Week is February 25-March 4, 2023 with an extension trip
to southern Spain including Costa del Sol and 3 nights in Mallorca. Hurry and sign up (if
you haven't already) as this trip will sell out quickly. You may register for both Zermatt
and Spain, only Zermatt or only Spain. It's your choice.
When most people think of Zermatt, they think of one thing: the Matterhorn. This
amazing icon continues to loom over Zermatt since the 1860's. Whether you are a skier or
a non-skier, this lovely car-free pedestrian town of Zermatt has much to offer. Zermatt is
home to 9 of the 10 highest mountains in Europe; this high altitude guarantees an excellent
snow record in a long season, which makes Zermatt special. You will find many things to
do and experience while sitting at the base of the majestic Matterhorn.
Costa del Sol is a favorite destination in Spain known for its endless beaches, hidden
coves, small villages that appear like a mirage in the mountains, historical landmarks with
centuries of culture, pleasant temperatures all year 'round and happy, friendly people. Costa
del Sol is the region of Andalusia where the mountain and the Mediterranean Sea combine
to create idyllic landscapes. Mallorca is known for its stunning coastline with cliffs, coves
and beaches that have never lost their appeal. Mallorca has ravishing beaches, azure views,
remote mountains and soulful hill towns. There's much to like.

FWSA 2024 International Ski Week
Madonna di Campiglio, Italy
Do you love to ski in spectacularly stunning scenery? If so, you'll want to join us for
skiing in the amazing Dolomites. We'll be going to Madonna di Campiglio, the main point
of access to the Dolomites mountain range, in mid to late February, 2024. This vibrant Italian
ski area links four small sectors known both for excellent grooming and steep runs.
The slopes spread out widely. The ski area has 57 lifts and 93 miles of ski runs with a capacity
of more than 31,000 people per hour. A spectacular 16-minute gondola ride connects
to the neighboring resort of Pinzolo.
Madonna di Campiglio is one of the world's classic ski centers and one of Italy's most
famous ranking with Cortina, Courmayeur and San Martino. Considering its long history
in winter sports, it has the benefit of an extensive and hugely enjoyable ski area with lifts
coming right down into the town, unusual assets compared to many other famous ski resorts.
The resort's altitude gives it more dependable conditions than many traditional winter
sports centers.
FWSA 2024 Africa Adventure Trip
Africa is an amazing place. Many of you had a great time touring South Africa with
us in 2014, so now we're planning for another Adventure Trip to Africa. We're researching
various photographic safari trip options to Kenya, Tanzania, or Botswana. We're not sure
where just yet, but it will be a trip we know you'll enjoy. We are hoping that we all will see
the " Big 5 " animals during this trip. Let's join together and experience the local culture, as
well as, seeing the many magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
