The Pacific Northwest is a
wonderful area of the USA, now
add in Hawaii, and we've got it
all. The Northwest Ski Club
Council ( " NWSCC " ) includes
clubs in the beautiful states of
Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.
Our member clubs enjoy many
activities and organize trips, both
single day and multiple day. Trips
include partaking in many sports
and activities; such as skiing,
snowboarding, hiking, golfing, biking,
camping, backpacking, sailing,
windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing -
you name it. Some trips combine
several activities. Other entertainment
opportunities abound -
the list seems never ending.
Thanks to our clubs, members
can add camaraderie and fun
competition to their lives while
enjoying the great outdoors.
Often clubs include participation
from other clubs at their events,
activities and trips to increase the
fun.
Having the great northwest
as our backyard lets NWSCC
members enjoy a wide variety of
natural beauty. Everyone is out
in nature and the great outdoors.
NWSCC has 30 member clubs
and 13 non-profit organization
members. Skiers, snowboarders,
and all other outdoor sports are
represented in our member clubs.
Our racing league, PACRAT,
continues their two groups, one
racing on Friday and one on Sunday.
This started as a COVID solution,
and has been so popular
that they are continuing to keep
it. They have a combined party
at the end of the season, which
announces the " Winner. "

2022/23 season schedule is in the

NWSCC continues to invest
in our Facebook presence. It's
been effective in getting more
people interested in what we do.
We have also had a few new

clubs request information about
joining. We always promote our
industry members using Facebook,
which will now reach a
larger audience. Our page likes
and group members continue to
rise. Please like our page

Zoom has made it easier for
NWSCC to invite all individual
club members to attend council
meetings. We continue to see increased
interest from our clubs
and individuals from outside the
Portland area. Guest speakers
from the ski and snowboard industry,
regional ski areas, media,
and resort properties continue to
give updates. During our meetings,
time is available for clubs to
spotlight events and trips to help
encourage additional participation.
Council meetings begin
with an informal social time, followed
by presentations. Everyone
is invited to attend and
encouraged to get involved.
Succession planning continues,
as the Board of Directors
continues to change. We are actively
looking for additional
Board members to act as liaison
between clubs and the council,
and any individual club members
are welcome. Board meetings are
held monthly via Zoom.

search function also. The 2023
ski season trips and events are
still in the planning stages.
