The Dolomites are a mountain range in northeastern Italy. In many people's opinions, they are the most beautiful mountain range in the world. Offering great skiing on a lift pass that includes 477 lifts, even a good skier would need at least a month to scratch the surface among the slopes of the Dolomites. In addition to the excellent skiing, the spectacular jagged pinnacles and sheer limestone walls of the range earned the Dolomites the honor of being proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. The slopes of Madonna offer something for everybody. There are plenty of easy trails for inexperienced skiers, red runs to keep the intermediates busy, and some nice soft snow between the trees to put a smile on the face of any expert. photos by Jimmy Petterson Far West Skier's Guide 2O23 - 2O24 75 ttttt
