Recreator - Winter 2012/2013 - (Page 5)

FROM THE RECREATION DIRECTOR City of Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Board Ragan Adams Richard Barnhart Rob Cagen Brain Carroll Michael Chalona Todd Galbate Bruce Henderson Susan Kelly Dawn Theis Kelly Ohlson - City Council Representative Executive Director Community Services Marty Heffernan Fellow Recreators, Winter is heating up in Recreation! We have plenty to keep you active when the weather gets cold. Check the Fitness section to challenge yourself with our news classes: P90X, Boot Camp Challenge, CrossTrain and Insanity, to name a few. Or get outside and enjoy the crisp mountain air with a skiing or back country trip, for teens and adults, see Outdoor Recreation and Special Events for more details. If you didn’t notice, turn to page 8 to see our new pass system, effective January 1, 2013. A recent study of our pass system demonstrated that the options offered to you were not the clearest or of the best value. We are confident that the new system will benefit you and allow for more flexibility to recreate how you want, while keeping the costs affordable. If you have any questions about the new information, feel free to stop in or call me directly. Enjoy the rest of 2012, and the beginning of 2013, stay active!
