50 PLUS GENERAL INFORMATION Fort Collins Senior Center We offer hundreds of opportunities for adults to improve their health and well-being, experience the best of outdoor Colorado, explore their creativity, learn something new, or have fun with friends and family. We invite all seniors to attend this year’s Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, August 21 at City Park. A special time for friends and family to share and very welcoming for those that rarely get out. Senior Center Volunteers The Fort Collins Senior Center encourages older adults to participate in educational and recreational activities that bring meaning to one’s leisure time and support a healthy, active lifestyle. Trained volunteers support this goal by assisting with the implementation and supervision of programs and activities, serving as greeters, librarians, cooks, trip drivers and clerical assistants. Volunteers serve a vital role by engaging in special events that occur throughout the year and with the Volunteers of America lunch program. Areas of need include arts and crafts, clerical, clubs, committees and organizations, dance, food prep and serving, fitness, education, games, outdoor recreation, travel activities and a myriad of social events! Senior Center Membership Information and Benefits Many services and activities at the Senior Center are limited to members only, so join today. Don’t miss your opportunity to access all we have to offer. For membership details, please see page 16. Pool Room The Pool Room has four eight ball tables and one snooker table and is available the same hours as the building. Additionally we ask that users contribute to the maintenance of the facility by making a donation in the donation box located in the room. Library Media Center The Senior Center’s library and media center offers a quiet location for reading, reflecting, working on a computer or challenging one’s mind by putting together an intricate jigsaw puzzle! Public access computers are available, each with internet, Microsoft Word, and Quicken.
