Young Lando

Ahsoka Tano

While we were initially skeptical about
the young Han Solo project, one of the
casting announcements that really
helped bring doubting fans around
was Donald Glover as a young Lando
Calrissian. Glover certainly has the talent
and swagger to step into the role Billy
Dee Williams made iconic. However, he
likely won't get much screen time, as the
story will focus on Han.
A heist film
or a movie
detailing how
Lando took
over the mining
operation on
Cloud City would
be perfect for
Glover.

As the first person in the Jedi order to
figure out that Anakin Skywalker was
a total whack job - a realization that
prompted her
to leave the
Jedi and help
found the
Rebel Alliance
-Ahsoka
arguably has
the most powerful dramatic character
arc in the entire Star Wars canon. Rosario
Dawson is already lobbying to play her in
any live-action project.
A movie could follow a younger
Ahsoka immediately after she leaves
the Jedi order or explore where Ahsoka
has been since she faced off with Vader
in Rebels.

Bounty Hunters/Boba Fett

Any movie involving the Mandalorian
bounty hunter is appealing, as it would
undoubtedly take us into the depths
of the criminal underworld from the
perspective of a bounty hunter. An
even cooler movie would involve a gang
of other well-known bounty hunters,
such as IG-88, Bossk, Dengar or even
Cad Bane. Bounty hunters don't play
well with others, but a plot involving a
number of them hunting the same prey
would be a natural. Plus we have to see
Boba disintegrate someone right?

Darth Vader Hunting Jedi

It would be great to see a standalone
movie, set shortly after Revenge of the
Sith, in which
Vader tracks
down those Jedi
who survived
Order 66. Just
imagine: We'd
get to see Vader
at the height of
his power as he
builds a name
for himself in
Palpatine's
newfound
Empire. ObiWan specifically says in A New Hope that
Vader helped hunt down and destroy
the Jedi, so it's about time we saw that
put to film.

Obi-Wan Standalone

The one thing fans unanimously agree on regarding the prequel trilogy is that Ewan McGregor
portrayed a fantastic young Obi-Wan. It's been more than a decade since he last played the
role, but McGregor's getting to the age at which he could perfectly reprise the role during ObiWan's exile on Tatooine, where he watched over Luke.
So far in the new canon, Obi-Wan has been used sparingly in that time frame. Thus, it would
be very easy to involve him in some sort of local trouble on Tatooine. After all, plenty of criminal
elements inhabit the planet, not to
mention the other dangers in the
wasteland. Obi-Wan is arguably
the most popular character in
the franchise, and McGregor has
already said he'd love to reprise the
role. There's really no reason not
to do it. Let's hope the powers that
rule the Star Wars universe make
this the next standalone movie.
