Legend Of
Zelda:Breath
of the Wild
by Matt Cabral

FUN WAYS TO CONTINUE
ADVENTURING AFTER CONQUERING
THE CALAMITY
IF YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING
The Legend of Zelda: Breath
of the Wild since it launched
in March, you may have
already exterminated the
evil-doing Ganon, rescued the
princess and returned peace
to the land of Hyrule.
Never fear! The following
activities will keep you
combating, questing and
cooking long after Link's
completed the main
campaign.

MEMORY LANE
Much of Breath of the Wild's
story is told via memories
hidden throughout Hyrule. If
you didn't discover all 13 of
these narrative nuggets before
drawing your sword on Ganon,
they're well worth finding after
you've faced him. In addition
to putting more meat on the
story - and bringing it to a
more satisfying conclusion -
these cinematic flashbacks
are found in some secret-filled
spots you might otherwise
dismiss.

SHRINE TIME
Many of Breath of the Wild's
best moments unfold
within its hidden shrines.
Unless you're a hardcore
completionist though, you
probably didn't conquer
all 120 of these mysterious
mini-dungeons before closing

taking down your first Hinox.
Thankfully, the game world
remains open after the story's
conclusion, allowing those
with an unquenchable thirst
for adventure to continue
questing.

HIDDEN CLASSICS
the book on the game's story.
Discovering some shrines, like
the one buried on Eventide
Island, can lead to some
especially clever questing.
Ganon might be toast, but
there are still minions to
vanquish and puzzles to solve.

SIDE QUESTING
Link's latest princess-rescuing
romp is absolutely brimming
with optional activities, from
running errands for quirky
characters to constructing your
very own Hylian village. While
all the game's extracurricular
activities are worth your time,
tackling them before besting
Ganon can be as daunting as

Outfitting Link with different
armor, weapons and gear is
a big aspect of Breath of the
Wild, marking a significant
departure for a franchise
somewhat defined by its
hero's signature green tunic,
Master Sword and Hylian
Shield. Purists can equip Link
with these iconic classics,
but they shouldn't expect to
acquire them easily. If you
haven't put in the legwork
before the final fight, reuniting
Link with his trademark gear
makes for a fun and rewarding
victory lap.

STABLE MASTER
You probably tamed your fair
share of wild horses on your

path to taking down Ganon,
but you haven't truly seen
Hyrule until you've done so
atop a snorting boar or grumpy
grizzly bear. Whether you're
looking to train the land's
most unwieldy wildlife or add
the best steeds - such as the
coveted Lord of the Mountain
- to your stable, there's plenty
of, er, horsing around to be had
after you've completed the
central quest.

AMIIBO
ADVENTURES
Those plastic Nintendo
playthings you've been
collecting might look pretty
sweet displayed on your
bookshelf, but they serve a
much higher purpose in Breath
of the Wild. All available
amiibos unlock some sort of
gear or loot within the game
-so try them all - but certain
figures yield especially cool
rewards. Super Smash Bros.
Link and Twilight Princess Wolf
Link, for example, unlock the
hero's loyal steed Epona and
his howling alter-ego.
