Here, he found a personal retreat where the warm spring water helped in his rehabilitation, and he created New Deal initiatives and rallied for rural electrification. He built his Little White House home in 1932, and today visitors can tour it, the servants’ and guest quarters, nearby pools and the adjoining FDR Memorial Museum to learn more about his legacy.
