Apple amity Last year, GEORGIA Magazine did an article on apples in Ellijay [see “A bountiful harvest,” September 2011, page 18]. It mentioned several different apple houses including the Red Apple Barn. Because of that article, we had the privilege of making new friends from all over the state of Georgia. Many of them of were from Middle and South Georgia. I really enjoyed getting to meet and know these people. Several of them were farmers, and it was interesting to hear about their farms.
