Planning fall and winter getaways in the Southeast can yield rich rewards for both long vacations and quick weekenders. Tennessee and North Alabama offer great changes in tree colors, making their landscapes singularly appealing. Florida begins to cool off just a bit, making its beaches especially inviting.
