Enjoy virtual and in-person events

ecause of the continued uncertainty surrounding the
COVID-19 virus, Georgia Magazine has changed the
format for our Events Calendar to provide readers with both
virtual and in-person events and activities to explore.
The August Calendar offers three sections: Gateways to
Virtual Events, websites that provide access to multiple
organizations' online activities through a single web portal;
Virtual Events and Activities sponsored by stand-alone
groups across the state; and In-person Events, which have

social-distancing directives in place and are grouped by
tourism region.
We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity
to get to know organizations and destinations in tourism
regions you may not have visited before.
Our in-person listings represent events that were
confirmed at press time. However, before you attend any event,
please verify that it is taking place by checking websites and/or
making a phone call.

n Gateways to Virtual Events
Several museums, convention and visitors
bureaus and other organizations have consolidated their virtual activities. Here are some of

Athens, Virtually. A calendar of online concerts,

Discover Atlanta Virtually, Atlanta Convention
