Charlie Brown stage play sets tone for the holidays
Charles Schulz's famous " Peanuts " characters
come to life this season in a new production of
" A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage. "
Families can catch this holiday classic at a Nov. 28
performance at the Columbia County Performing
Arts Center in Evans and another on Dec. 13 at
Atlanta Symphony Hall in Atlanta.
The musical features songs written by
American jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi for the original
1965 television show, including " Linus and Lucy, "
" Christmas is Coming " and " Christmas Time Is Here. "
It tells the story of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy,
Linus and the rest of the " Peanuts " gang as they
discover the true meaning of Christmas.
To continue the holiday spirit, the audience will
be invited to sing traditional Christmas songs and
carols, led by the characters.
