A photographer's eye E Eddie Headrick captures nature's beauty By Jim Jess ddie Headrick worked for 42 years at North Georgia Electric Membership Corp. in Dalton in the apparatus shop, where he tested and repaired line equipment. He says that photography has been a hobby of his since " back in the film days. " Here are a few of the photos he has taken, reflecting the beauty of nature and an event in his area. A lifelong resident of Ringgold, Headrick takes photos in Georgia and Tennessee. Eddie Headrick Because of a remote camera at their nest, the bald eagles at Berry College and their broods have been broadcast around the world. Headrick took this photo near the nest site in Mount Berry in 2017. A dog leaps to catch a disc at the World Canine Disc Championship in September 2016 in Chattanooga, Tenn. The annual event draws competitors from around the world. Headrick saw these two colorful songbirds last May in Harrison, Tenn., along an unpaved road at Enterprise South Nature Park. The blue bird is an indigo bunting, and the other is a prairie warbler. 32 Georgia Magazine October 2024
