extraordinary grand Fly, ladies! Get a handle on your grandparenting challenges with “FlyLady” Marla Cilley Even if you haven’t heard of Marla Cilley, you probably do know her as “FlyLady.” Marla is an organizing and time management expert with a huge presence on the Web. She is the owner of, which helps women take charge of their lives, and she has published two books, Sink Reflections and Body Clutter: Love Your Body, Love Yourself. Why the name FlyLady? Marla used to teach fly fishing, and FlyLady was her handle! MARLA CILLEY How it all began Several years back I was appointed to the State House 22 GRAND MAR APR 2011 of Representatives and served for six years. I was scared that they would discover my “dirty little secret” that I couldn’t keep house. I woke up one New Year’s Day and decided to get organized. I found Pam Young and Peggy Jones on the Phil Donahue Show. They wrote a book called Sidetracked Home Executives, which was a system of home management. I implemented their system and began my journey of getting my home in order. FLY stands for . . .? It stands for “Finally Love Yourself.” Loving yourself is a byproduct of getting your home in order. The beauty of all this is that when you aren’t sifting through all the clutter and being dragged down, you have more time and energy for your family and grandchildren.
