DESCRIPTION: The CPH2 Membrane Free Electrolyzers (MFEs) are a set of scalable
processes, systems and technologies that provide efficient, reliable electrolysis, drying,
purification and separation of hydrogen from oxygen. The key element of CPH2's
technology is the electrolysis of water without requiring a membrane combined with
the cryogenic separation of the hydrogen and oxygen gases. This unique approach to
hydrogen production provides increased flexibility in applications, as both oxygen and
the heat from the electrolysis process can also be harvested by simple re-engineering
of the basic product. This can serve additional applications, such as pre-heating
of water for heat networks or using a combination of hydrogen and oxygen for
combustion or steam turbine without production of NOx gases. The innovative MFE
technology is seen as a disruptor and as a more environmentally sustainable and
economical solution than existing PEM and membrane-based electrolyzers. Made from
readily available, reusable, or recyclable materials, the technology does not require
precious metals such as Palladium or Platinum for membranes or powerful catalysts.
Due to its cryogenic separation process, the technology has earned significant
synergistic interest in integration into large scale liquefaction projects for transport and
aviation. Membrane Free electrolyzers are offered in two models MFE220 and MFE440.

APPLICATIONS/INDUSTRIES SERVED: Typical applications include power plants
(hydrogen for electricity and gas grids), industries and manufacturing sectors,
transportation and mobility, industrial equipment (forklifts, airport ground support
equipment, agricultural machinery and generators), commercial and retail setups
(power and back-up power support), hydroculture (employing hydrogen and
oxygen for growing plants without soil to enhance the growth time and promote
vegetation that is algae free).
