Ditch Witch Partners with Vacuworx
Ditch Witch, a Charles Machine Works Company, has partnered with
Tulsa-based Vacuworx to bring the benefits of vacuum lifting technology to an expanded network of underground construction contractors,
landscapers, municipalities and utilities.
Vacuum lifting systems are designed to use constant vacuum
pressure on heavy loads, such as steel road plates and concrete slabs,
handling up to 10 times more material than conventional methods in
half the man hours. This eliminates the need for conventional lifting
mechanisms that may damage materials, and allows contractors to
spend more time focused on the job.
"Our partnership with Vacuworx will enable our line of mini skid
steers to do what others can't, allowing us to continue offering our
customers advanced innovation and expanded versatility," said Randy Rupp, Ditch Witch vice president of product strategy.
The Vacuworx PS 1 Portable and SL 2 Subcompact Vacuum Lifting Systems are compatible with the full line of Ditch Witch construction-grade, mini skid steers. PS 1 can lift up to 1,700 pounds, and is an ideal solution for lighter and smaller loads on compact job sites that
require the SK600 unit. Weighing just 98 pounds and lifting up to 2,700 pounds, SL 2 is also compatible with the full mini skid steer line, but
must be used in tandem with the SK1550 unit for maximum lifting capabilities.

Customers Experience New Equipment,
Technology at Annual Seminar
Customers worldwide traveled to the Perry, Okla., headquarters of Ditch
Witch, a Charles Machine Works Company, to participate in the annual
Equipment Seminar in April. More than 300 dealership employees and
their customers experienced an up-close look at customer-driven
equipment enhancements and next-generation technology advancements.
"Our customers play a vital role in the development of our equipment. We value their feedback, and we are committed to offering products that help them conquer job-site challenges," said Dennis Wierzbicki,
Ditch Witch president.
Equipment introductions and hands-on demonstrations during the
two-day event included the new line of HX vacuum excavators, the
advanced family of construction-grade mini skid steers, and the Ditch
Witch HDD training simulator. Attendees also received a tour of the Ditch Witch manufacturing facility and campus, spanning more than1.2
million square feet.
In addition, attendees experienced products from other Charles Machine Works companies: Subsite Electronics, Hammerhead Trenchless,
American Augers.
