Wallingford, and Queen Anne neighborhoods,
is collected and conveyed in one set of pipes.
In dry weather conditions, all sewage flows
to a local wastewater treatment plant. During
wet weather conditions, polluted runoff can
exceed the pipes' capacity and send a mixture of
stormwater (90 percent) and sewage (10 percent)
to outfalls that flow into the nearest water body.
These combined sewer overflows (CSOs) contain
contaminants that can make people sick and
harm fish, wildlife and the environment.
The 2.7-mile, 18-foot, 10-inch internal diameter
tunnel, known as the Ship Canal Water Quality
Project -Storage Tunnel project, will keep an
average of more than 75 million gallons of
polluted stormwater and sewage out of the Lake
Washington Ship Canal, Salmon Bay, and Lake
Union each year. Construction work is expected to
start December 2019 and be completed in 2023.

responsible for technical work -

were named as vice presidents, joining the
company's Executive Committee.

Marc Deschambault joined Interplastic
Corporation as sales representative, focusing on
the Eastern Canada territory. He brings 30 years
of experience working in the adhesives industry,
representing companies such as Tembec
Chemical (now part of Rayonier Advanced
Materials), Tri-Tex Company and ARC Resins.

Christian Andreasen is vice
president-Enterprise Engineering,
leading all related elements of
capital planning and execution
for all companies in the
Middlesex Water Company enterprise. He has
been with the company for 36 years.
Georgia Simpson is vice
president-Information
Technology, reflecting
the function's expanded
prominence in the company's
strategy, business processes and risk profile.
She has been with the company for 9 years.
Robert Fullagar, vice presidentOperations, is responsible for
Wastewater Collection and
Treatment operations, and
production and distribution
functions enterprise-wide. He has 21 years

Kimberly Greene, chairman,

Company Gas, was appointed
to the GTI Board of Directors.

Inc., responsible for managing and

has more than 20 years of experience as a civil

expertise in project management, hydraulic and
hydrologic analyses, land development and
roadway construction and structural design.

Martha Bixby is the new vice
president of health and safety at
Brown and Caldwell, which
includes championing efforts to
enhance the firm's awardwinning EHSS practices. Her 22-year track record
of developing and directing global EHSS
programs and best-practices spans a wide range
of sectors including energy, industrial
electronics, building materials, and
manufacturing.
Dan Augusti is the new senior
director of client services, based
in Alexandria, Va. With more than
20 years in engineering and
construction, he is experienced
in water and wastewater facility design-build,
pipeline and force main construction, value
engineering, project controls, scheduling and
estimation for environmental, commercial, heavy
civil and industrial construction projects.

Mike Allen joined the Dallas/
Fort Worth office of McKim &
Creed as regional manager of
Subsurface Utility Engineering
(SUE). He brings nearly 20 years
of experience in organizing, implementing and
overseeing SUE and utility coordination projects
for departments of transportation, energy
providers, telecommunications companies,
municipalities and private businesses.
The engineering and surveying firm also
promoted Tim Cawood, PLS, to president of
Geomatics. He has been with McKim & Creed
for more than 30 years, starting from an entrylevel position as a survey crew member and
progressing to leadership positions and a key
