Kubota Introduces NextGeneration Compact Excavators

KX033, U35 and KX040. It allows operators to
change buckets from the comfort of the operator
seat, in a matter only 10 to 15 seconds.
It includes custom control packages for a perfect
fit on each excavator model, such as specialized
hose kits and a spring-applied hydraulic release
locking mechanism. The new coupler is construction grade, compatible with older-style buckets and
engineered for everyday use on the job site.

Two, new compact excavators - KX057-5 and U555 - lead Kubota Tractor Corporation's construction
equipment product introductions in 2021.
" With the new KX057-5 and the U55-5, Kubota
offers not only a broad selection of 13 compact
excavator models, but also complete flexibility with
conventional and reduced-tail-swing offerings in
the 1-to-6-ton weight classes, " said Patrick Baker,
Kubota Construction Equipment product manager.
Next-generation models are outfitted with standard technology and comfort packages, plus more
options for ultimate customization.
Replacing the KX057-4 in Kubota's K Series of
compact excavators, KX057-5 boasts an impressive 47.6 gross horsepower, a working range that
includes a digging depth of 12 feet 9 inches, and an
impressive bucket breakout force of 10,172 pounds.
Technology features include a new full-color,
seven-inch LCD screen that provides all the information the operator needs to know with a quick
glance. An optional keyless start is available for the
first time on Kubota's excavators. The engine can
be started with a four-digit code, and up to 10 user
passwords can be set. With this new technology,
operators no longer need to worry about lost keys.
Engineered to meet the needs of contractors
working in tight spaces, U55-5 has an impressive
47.6 horsepower, working range that includes a
digging depth of 11 feet 11 inches, and maximum
dump height of 13 feet 2 inches.
It's available in canopy or cab models. A redesigned cabin features a double adjustable seat and
greater head and foot space. The cab was designed
to reduce noise and help protect the operator's
ears. A large new full-color LCD screen provides all
operational information. Other upgrades include
optional rear-view camera and keyless start.
The company also launched a new quick
coupler for its 3- to 4-ton excavator class, including

John Deere Rolls Out
Performance Tiering Strategy

Developed in response to evolving customer needs
and expectations, John Deere launches its Performance Tiering Strategy. Available first on the wheel
loader lineup, the strategy supports customers by
three tiers of machines built for various applications
and jobs to enhance profitability and efficiency.
" Every job site is unique, and customers want
machine solutions that can be personalized to
meet their diverse needs, including performance,
price and comfort, " said Jason Daly, global director,
production systems, technology and marketing,
John Deere. " By offering three tiers, customers can
move up or down the spectrum to find the right
mix of features, performance and innovation for
their business and application. "
The three Performance Tiers are defined as:
* Adding a premium edge, the X-tier models
are built with the most innovative John Deere
technology and features, delivering the highest
levels of productivity, efficiency and customer
experience.
* P-tier models can be counted on to produce
at high levels, day in and day out. Advanced
features deliver exceptional performance, efficiency, comfort and service life in demanding,
high-production applications.
* G-tier models are practically and economically equipped, providing proven capabilities
to complete common light- to medium-duty

tasks - such as stockpiling, short load-and-carry,
truck and hopper loading, and material handling
- with the reliability and ruggedness expected
from John Deere.
The 444-724 P-tier wheel loaders are comparable to the current L-Series, including a redesigned
cab, standard parallel lift Z-Bar loader linkage, highlift plus option, electrohydraulic controls and dual
return-to-dig settings.
A highly productive and efficient 5-metric-ton
wheel loader, the 644 X-tier, features E-Drive
technology, comprises a diesel-electric drivetrain
and exemplifies the type of innovative features that
distinguish the X tier.
The 644 G-tier is equipped with an all-new cab
designed to boost operator comfort and productivity. Customers can customize the machine through
a variety of base-level packages, including axles,
tires, ride control, seats, radio and rear chassis worklight selections.
Customers can distinguish the various levels of
tiering by not only the attributes and capabilities,
but also by the distinct branding and design cues on
the machines.

TT Technologies Introduces
Updated GrundoPit
TT Technologies' redesigned Grundopit pitlaunched mini directional drill is well suited for
difficult fiber-to-the-home and utility service line
installations in tight working conditions. The unit is
compact, 54 inches long, 43 inches wide and 57
inches tall. The Grundopit delivers 13,489 lbs. of
thrust and pull back and 553 ft. lbs. of torque with
bore lengths up to 150 feet. The Grundopit is an
ideal entry-level system for utilities, cable industries
or as a supplement to larger units.
The new unit features a patented instant plug-in
lock that holds the drill stem in place. The instant
plug-in lock system allows new drill stems to be
added easily by engaging the new drill stem at the
rotational motor. This means that drill stems are only
screwed into the lead stem and not the rotational
motor, cutting the time it takes to add a stem in half.
Components include a two-part bore rig, patented drill stem plug in, 30 drill stems, bore head with
angled steering surface, backreamer and swivel
coupling, hose package and power pack.
