Freese and Nichols
Alan Hutson, P.E., vice
president/principal of
professional consulting firm
Freese and Nichols, has a
new role as division
manager-Central Plains, at the
Oklahoma City office. He will lead the continued
diversification of services for state and local
clients in Oklahoma and the surrounding region.
Hutson is a highly experienced leader of
large water and wastewater transmission and
utilities projects, with particular expertise in
pump stations, tunneling and sustainable
infrastructure design. He has designed
or managed more than $800 million in
conveyance projects.
Hill International
Stephen Browning, P.E., joined Hill
International, provider of program, project
and facilities consulting services to clients
in a variety of market sectors, as senior
vice president. Specifically, he leads the
Federal Sector, identifying market trends and
opportunities, partnering with agencies and
owners, and overseeing client services to grow
and improve the firm's business.
His more than 30 years of experience in
federal project management includes leading
the reconstruction of national infrastructure
across Iraq, for which he earned the " Service
to America Award for National Security and
International Affairs. "
McKim & Creed
Tom Ruschkewicz joined
McKim & Creed, which
specializes in site civil,
mechanical/electrical/
plumbing, water and
wastewater engineering;
industrial design-build; and surveying and
mapping, as senior vice president of geomatics.
Based in the Austin, he oversees the
geomatics business in Texas and Florida,
as well as overall growth throughout the firm's
national footprint.
With nearly 30 years of industry experience,
he has specific expertise in the fields of
transportation, energy, telecommunications
and land development, and a reputation as a
results-oriented, customer-focused manager.
Street Lee, P.E., is the new
CEO, based at the company's
Raleigh, N.C. headquarters.
Previous CEO John Lucey, Jr.,
P.E., continues as chairman
of the Board.
Lee has more than 35 years of experience
with the firm, progressing from entry-level
engineer to president of engineering, and
now CEO. During his tenure, the company
has become a leader in water and wastewater
engineering in the Southeast, and has grown
niche instrumentation and controls / SCADA,
infrastructure condition assessment and asset
management services.
McMillen Jacobs
Kristian Nelson was
appointed to succeed
Isabelle Lamb, retired, as
Australia/New Zealand
regional manager in the
Underground Division of
McMillen Jacobs Associates, provider of
technical engineering design and
construction expertise in the water,
wastewater, transportation, transit, and
energy/power industries.
He has over 24 years of experience,
six years with the firm, that includes
both regional knowledge and technical
expertise in temporary works, complex
marine projects, pipejacking, and ground
improvement methods.
In the same division, seven professionals
were promoted to principal.
Michael Behrens, C.E., based
in the Melbourne, Australia,
office, has 31 years of
international experience in
the design, management, and
investigation of major civil
engineering projects, specializing in tunneling
and underground structures.
Babatunde (Babs) Marquis,
CCM, based in Boston, has
29 years of experience in
planning, design, and
construction management
of complex infrastructure
projects with a focus on tunnel installation
by trenchless construction methods.
Rachel Martin, P.E., has
20 years of experience in
design and construction
management on civil
projects, with a focus on
water and wastewater.
She is based in Walnut Creek, Calif.
Also in Boston, Tennyson
Muindi, P.E, has over
33 years of experience on
a wide range of geotechnical
engineering projects, with
primary expertise in pipeline
infrastructure, including new trenchless
installation methods.
Brad Murray, P.E., has 17
years of design and
engineering experience,
with a focus on underground
heavy civil construction
projects. He is based in
the firm's Cleveland, Ohio office.
Lynn Salvati, Ph.D., P.E.,
in the Seattle office, has
18 years of experience
in geotechnical engineering,
with expertise in the design
and construction of
underground structures through trenchless
technologies, pressurized face tunneling,
and conventional methods.
Bade Sozer, Ph.D., P.E., has
over 15 years of experience
with a focus on geotechnical
engineering, and tunnel and
underground structure design.
Based in New Jersey, she is
also the firm's East Coast water market lead.
Brown and Caldwell
Rod Pope, vice president
of Brown and Caldwell,
was inducted into the
Design-Build Institute of
America's (DBIA) prestigious
College of Fellows.
