McElroy Welcomes
New Purchasing Manager
Eric Duerr has joined
McElroy, the world's leading
designer and manufacturer of
thermoplastic fusion
equipment, as its new
purchasing manager.
A native Oklahoman, Duerr brings 15 years
of procurement, sourcing, and inventory
management experience, mainly in the oil
and gas industry. He has developed and led
the performance of numerous purchasing and
sourcing teams in the United States, Canada,
Egypt, and the United Kingdom.
Most recently, he was the Western
Hemisphere strategic sourcing manager for TD
Williamson, in Tulsa.
As Duerr transitions into his new role, he
will be working closely with McElroy Senior
Operations Manager Philip Maud, who is
moving into a new role to focus on the
company's inventory, planning, and execution
processes.

Mark Morelli was appointed
to the Board of Directors for
Xylem, a global water
technology leader.
He brings nearly two decades
of experience leading
industrial and technology corporations through
transformative growth and innovation. Currently
he serves as president and CEO of Vontier Corporation,
the $3B global industrial technology
company focused on smarter mobility.
Woolpert
J.P. Johns, vice president,
was promoted to water
market director, responsible
for helping the segment
expand into new geographies,
integrate existing and new
technologies and services to benefit new clients,
and increase support of the firm's architecture,
engineering and geospatial (AEG) clients.
He has more than 20 years of experience in
water resource engineering and management,
including hydrology and hydraulic analyses and
design, floodplain management, watershed
master planning, stream restoration and MS4
program management.
Ellen Pelstring is the new
regional development director
at Woolpert. In this role, she
fosters business development
opportunities in Virginia and
the mid-Atlantic, forming
strategic partnerships to benefit clients and
bolster the firm's organic and acquisitive growth.
She has 20 years of experience in business
development with companies throughout
the architecture, engineering and consulting
industry, including the last 10 years as president
of a full-service consulting firm.

& Newnam, Inc. as senior
project manager,
responsible for the firm's municipal

In Memoriam
Troy Young, vice president and co-owner of Tulsa Rig Iron,
passed away in a tragic boating accident over the Memorial Day
weekend, in Grove, Okla., at age 48.
From an early age, he was heavily involved, with his brother
Trevor, in the family business. His father, JD Young, first owned
and operated Triangle Supplies, (Lafayette, La., and Tulsa, Okla.),
which supplied pumps to the offshore oil & gas market.
Tulsa Rig Iron was established just outside of Tulsa, in 1987,
when the HDD equipment technology JD had been instrumental
in developing, started gaining traction.
Originally consisting of several divisions, Tulsa Rig Iron's early
product/services designs were packaged drilling mud recycling systems, triplex mud pumps, and
mini-to-maxi-sized HDD drill rigs. During the early 1990s through the early 2000s, Tulsa Rig Iron
was a major player in the HDD product market.
In 2004, JD passed away unexpectedly; Trevor and Troy stepped up at that time as president and
vice president, respectively. After a complete business analysis, they decided to shutter the outlying
divisions and focus solely on designing and manufacturing world-class mud cleaning systems and
triplex mud pumps.
Since then, the company has grown into a first-class drilling equipment manufacturer, respected
and known worldwide. UC

LAN engineers Justin Reeves, P.E., and
Elaiza Alvarez, P.E., now serve on the Underground
Construction Technology Association
(UCTA) National Board of Directors. They join
a panel of experts responsible for providing
oversight and expertise on construction, upholding
UCTA values and advancing its cause.
Previously president of the UCTA North
Texas Chapter, Reeves was elected national
president at the last meeting in 2021.
Alvarez has acted as a Board Trustee member
for UCTA South Texas Chapter since 2019 and
was elected as its vice president in January 2022.
ALLU
Pierre-Emmanuel Bujes
is the new operations
director, leading ALLU's
China operations and
manufacturing facility.
For the last 20 years,
he has worked in China across the chemical
industry. His experience includes managing
finance and general management for factories,
working alongside customers across various
industry sectors in Asia, and most recently,
consultancy for business transformation. UC
