Think Fit - Take a Healthy Break in Las Vegas
Attendees at the 2014 ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas have a special opportunity to take care of their health as well as their professional development and networking. Beginners and master yogi alike are encouraged to join the Think Fit “Power Flow” yoga class on Sunday, June 29, 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. for a strength-building, body-balancing workout. Led by certified instructor Erika Trujillo from Sin City Yoga, who teaches her own “Sol Flow” brand of yoga, this high-energy class with plenty of movement and inspiring music should leave participants renewed, refreshed, and ready for the day's activities.
The $15 fee includes a free event giveaway, beverages, and refreshment bar for all registered “yogi's.” Attendees can sign up when they register for Annual Conference, or add the event later. More information is available on the ticketed events page of the ALA Annual Conference website.

The Closing General Session is a not-to-miss event, where current ALA President Barbara Stripling will pass the gavel to the 2014-2015 ALAPresi-dent Courtney Young and introduce the new Division Presidents.
Novak's appearance is sponsored by Penguin Young Readers. A book signing will be held outside the presentation immediately following the event.

Inaugural Brunch
Both the outgoing and incoming presidents, along with Division Presidents-Elect will then be honored at the Inaugural Brunch. This elegant event will immediately follow the Closing General Session and includes food, entertainment, and more. Tickets can be purchased when you register for the conference or added at a later date.
ALA JobLIST Placement Center Offers Guidance, Career Services
Provided by the ALA Office for Human Resource Development and Recruitment (HRDR), the ALA JobLIST Placement Center will be open Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with an orientation on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and an Open House on Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Jobseekers may attend career guidance workshops, talk to a career counselor, have a resume reviewed, and talk to employers in the Placement Center. Complimentary shuttle service is provided between the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and the official ALA hotels listed below. Shuttle information signs will be posted in the lobby of each hotel. Check the sign in your hotel lobby for additional information and changes.
