advertorial Q&A with jason and sally cooper LUSIVE How would you describe your business in one sentence? Lusive is founded in the intersection of design and manufacturing, blending the latest technologies with traditional hand craftsmanship to create inspired custom lighting features. How different does your company look today from five years ago? Sally Thomas Cooper Creativity, budget and expedited on-time delivery are more important now than ever and Lusive has risen to those challenges over the last five years with our streamlined design and quality manufacturing systems in our new 85,000 sq. ft. facility. We are now a larger team with more experience, capabilities and capacity - but with the same enthusiastic energy as the day we started! What is your company's philosophy toward customization? Jason Cooper Custom is what we do and love! It is what gives us the chance to develop unique design ideas and create something that truly fits the design vision and environment. By consistently researching and sourcing new materials and by developing and training our in-house artisans in new skills and techniques, Lusive is able to provide distinctive options and a level of quality and originality that is unique in the lighting industry. What differentiates your company from its competitors in the marketplace? Having designed and specified lighting fixtures around the world ourselves, we have a deep understanding of what our design and architectural clients want in a manufacturer and design partner. Designers know that we 'get' design. Purchasers know that we understand budget and delivery, and Owners count on our proven reputation for quality product that lasts. From the start we have offered ourselves as consultants - positioning ourselves as not only a quality manufacturer but as a partner to develop lighting concepts, supply technical information and provide all the upfront services necessary for a successful project. 016 March/April 2014 hospitalitydesign.comhttp://www.hospitalitydesign.com
