Born in Caracas, Venezuela,
Alonso graduated from Boston
University with a bachelor of
science in film and art history. He
has held positions at Connoisseur
and Mirabella magazines in
New York, as well as Barneys
New York and Isaac Mizrahi.
In 1998, he co-founded Greybull
Press in Los Angeles, an
art publishing company focusing
on photographic books. He
started Commune in 2004 with
Steven Johanknecht and Pamela
Shamshiri. The firm's design
of the Durham Hotel in North
Carolina is featured on page 092.

Bridging the worlds of art, fashion,
and architecture, Hollis' work
is known for its dark glamour,
imagination, and curatorial vision.
Born in Jupiter, Florida, she
studied at the Fashion Institute
of Technology in New York and
later in Paris at the Université
de Paris. Hollis began her career
with James D'Auria Associates
in New York, moving to San
Francisco in 1997 to join Starwood,
where she helped to launch its W
Hotels brand. She then founded
NICOLEHOLLIS in 2002. See

joining RLHC, he has grown
the company from three to five
brands, and expanded from 55
regional hotels to 135 nationally.

Development, Rockbridge's
affiliated development and
construction group, Schrim
oversees and manages property
acquisition, entitlements, publicprivate financing, and public
incentives. Before Rockbridge, he

Klingbeil Medical Partners.
