Moffitt Cancer Center Teen and Young Adult Lounge

Moffitt Cancer Center partnered with Teen Cancer America
(Los Angeles), a program to educate and support hospitals and
outpatient facilities in the development of specialized units for
teens, to open a Teen and Young Adult Lounge at its Tampa, Fla.
facility. The space provides patients with a dedicated area to mix
and interact during treatment.
Say it with Moxie
The Ranch treatment center, in Nunnelly, Tenn., has added
the 15-bed Swan Creek House, a 15,000-square-foot residential
facility for women with addiction and co-occurring mental health
disorders. Swan Creek joins 10 existing houses at The Ranch
treatment center and features a comfortable living environment and
expansive outdoor spaces, including ponds, a gazebo, swimming
pool, natural rock landscaping, and a waterfall.
UnityPoint Health-Trinity unveiled a new heart center
and emergency department to serve the community in Rock
Island, Ill., and the surrounding region. The heart center provides
improved access and capacity for care coordination, for a full
continuum of heart care services including testing, diagnosis, treatment, cardiac rehabilitation, and patient education. The ED features
its own CT scanner and X-ray imaging rooms, trauma room, and a
12-bed short-stay observation unit.
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia opened a
new 135,000-square-foot Specialty Care and Ambulatory Surgery
Center in King of Prussia, Pa. The four-story building includes 68
exam rooms, a sports medicine gym, a developmental therapy
gym, a pediatric imaging center, a day hospital for oncology patients, a sleep center, and an urgent care center.

Montefiore Health System's Department of
Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has expanded with a new Eye
Surgery Center in Bronx, N.Y. The center, located at Montefiore's
Westchester Square campus, has five operating rooms that are
outfitted with the same equipment, enabling physicians to operate
in different rooms without adjusting to equipment changes. HCD
