HARVEY PEDIATRIC CLINIC DESIGN FIRM: MARLON BLACKWELL ARCHITECTS SITUATED IN A fast-developing suburban area of Rogers, Ark., the nearly $3 million Harvey Pediatric Clinic, designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects (Fayetteville, Ark.), establishes a visual landmark along a busy commercial corridor and presents a dynamic contrast to the everyday structures that populate the area. The south side of the façade features a metal panel system in a custom cayenne color, developed specifically for the project, while weathered zinc-colored metal panels are used on the north-facing side of the building. Fins on the east façade of the upper floor shade the interior from excessive solar exposure. Tenant spaces on the ground floor are wrapped in glass, establishing a visual and material separation from the upper floor. The "foot" of the form contains a stairway that leads to the second-level waiting room and TIMOTHY HURSLEY all the clinic spaces. 34 SEPTEMBER 2018 HCDMAGAZINE.COMhttp://www.HCDMAGAZINE.COM
