COMPLETED

Atlantic Health System
and Kindred Healthcare
LLC have completed
the ATLANTIC REHABILITATION INSTITUTE, a
$24 million, two-story
inpatient rehabilitation
hospital in Madison,
N.J. The comprehensive
inpatient rehabilitation
facility includes 38 private patient rooms; large
interdisciplinary gyms;
a therapeutic courtyard
with golf, basketball,
and varied surfaces;
and a transitional
living apartment. Holt
Construction served as
construction manager on
the project.

MISSISSIPPI SPORTS
MEDICINE AND ORTHOPEDIC CENTER has

opened in Flowood,
Miss. The 48,000-squarefoot facility includes eight
advanced operating
rooms, three additional
procedure rooms, four
extended-stay 23hour recovery rooms,
a full-service clinic,
urgent care, physical
therapy center, sports
performance center, and
pharmacy. The 24-month
project was divided into
two phases, starting with
the surgery center and
followed by the clinic.
Hoar Construction was
the general contractor.

The new $47 million
MERCY SPRINGDALE
CLINIC multispecialty
facility in Springdale,
Ark., is complete. The
63,000-square-foot
center is Mercy's largest outpatient clinic in
northwest Arkansas
and combines a twostory multispecialty
clinic with a 24-hour
emergency department, plus 29 exam
rooms dedicated to
primary care and 34
exam rooms for specialty care. The project
team included McCarthy Building Cos.
Inc. (construction), The
Lamar Johnson Collaborative (architecture),
Heideman Associates
(mechanical engineering), Crafton Tull
(civil engineering),
and KPFF Consulting
Engineers (structural
engineering).

IN THE WORKS

ASCENSION WISCONSIN announced plans

to open a new health
center in Menomonee
Falls, Wis. The first
floor of the two-story,

33,000-square-foot
health center will house
a 16,500-square-foot
small-scale hospital with
emergency services and
eight inpatient beds,
owned and operated
by Ascension Wisconsin Emerus JV LLC, a
joint venture between
Ascension Wisconsin
and Emerus Holdings.
Ascension Wisconsin will establish a
16,500-square-foot
primary and specialty
care clinic on the second
floor. The project has a
tentative opening date of
April 2021.
Huntsman Cancer
Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah celebrated the groundbreaking
of the next expansion
of the cancer campus in
Salt Lake City, Utah. The
eight-story KATHRYN F.
KIRK CENTER FOR COMPREHENSIVE CANCER
CARE AND WOMEN'S
CANCERS at HCI will
house a floor dedicated
to women's cancers, a
new endoscopy center,
increased services for
blood and marrow
transplant patients, an
expanded HCI Wellness and Integrative
Health Center, and 48
new inpatient hospital
rooms. The expansion is
projected to cost $148
million. Construction
of the approximately
205,000-square-feet
building is expected
to begin in January
2020, with an estimated
completion date of
August 2022. 
