Henry Schein Donates More Than $80,000 In Health Care Products
To Support Henry Viscardi School For Children With Physical Disabilities

Henry Schein, Inc. announced recently that it has donated
more than $80,000 in health care products this year to
the Henry Viscardi School at The Viscardi Center, a Long
Island-based school for children with severe physical
disabilities who often require life-sustaining medical
treatment throughout the day. The donation will support
the specialized care and treatments the school provides
to each student.

"The Henry Schein donation adds immensely to the quality
of care that we provide to our students with disabilities,"
said John D. Kemp, President and Chief Executive
Ofﬁcer of The Viscardi Center. "The health care product
contributions are extraordinary, in that they allow us to be
able to redirect some of the resources that we otherwise
have to spend on supplies of this nature. We are touched
by the commitment Henry Schein makes to us every day."

As a part of the donation, Henry Schein provided hygiene,
pain relief, and ﬁrst aid supplies, as well as equipment
for the school's physical and occupational therapy
departments, which work with students on their strength,
mobility, and motor skills. The donation is an initiative
of Henry Schein Cares, the company's global corporate
social responsibility program.

In the company's effort to continue supporting the The
Henry Viscardi School for Kids with Physical Disabilities,
Henry Schein accepted an invitation to play wheelchair
basketball against the Long Island-based school's varsity
team. Participating in the game furthered the company's
relationship with Viscardi, exempliﬁed what Team Schein
culture is all about, and left a lasting impression on all who
played and attended.

"The students at the Henry Viscardi School are a constant
source of inspiration as they prove that no obstacle can
impede a child's desire to learn," said Stanley M. Bergman,
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Ofﬁcer of
Henry Schein, Inc. "We are pleased to provide the school's
health care professionals, therapists, and faculty with the
products they need to foster a learning environment that
is caring and digniﬁed."

The Viscardi Varsity Cougars beat Team Schein 44 - 22
after welcoming their opponents with a table displaying
band aids, oxygen masks, and other medical supplies to
use after what was anticipated to be a devastating loss.
By scoring 22 points, however, Team Schein was assured
that its performance was far better than average for a
ﬁrst-time team. Talk of a rematch began immediately.
