Speaker Bio:
Ira Rosenau joined Keystone Industries in 2015 as
the President of the company's dental division,
overseeing all facets of Keystone's comprehensive
manufacturing of dental medical devices and
pharmaceuticals, including the development and
commercialization of its digital dental materials such
as the KeyPrint® line of 3D printing resins and the
KeyMill® high-impact denture disc for milling. He also
serves as General Counsel to all of Keystone's global
business units. Prior to joining Keystone, Mr. Rosenau
was a commercial attorney in Philadelphia focused
on business litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and
real estate practice areas.

There are many days in overseeing a dental manufacturing business,
working with partners in the trenches, when I find myself invoking the

the education learning curve for end-users, manufacturers, dealers,

In either milling or 3D printing, the workflows combine multiple
technologies, each of which has to enjoy some level of compatibility
with the other components: scanners, design software, fabrication
hardware and software, dental materials, and finishing tools
and products. The interrelationships can be complex. Dental
professionals, with firsthand knowledge of industry processes and
product offerings, are needed to help validate that new materials or
equipment seamlessly work within (or adequately replace) existing
workflows.
For example, Keystone's new high-impact denture base disc,
KeyMill, is a premium esthetic and strong digital denture product.
Regardless of the quality of this product, it could not be positioned
for commercial success without getting input and feedback from the
marketplace on critical issues like mill compatibility, milling strategies,
bur selection, and tooth-bonding strategies. Our laboratory partners
were engaged with helping Keystone optimize the KeyMill product for
success within accepted equipment and workflows.
