Minicom Intercom System

Lighting Services New Extruded Square Spotlight

Minicom announces its new closed circuit, "hands free", two channel PK-2 intercom system designed for fixed or portable communication, which provides quality by means of contoured wide range frequency response and high volume capability. The PK-2 power pack/
main station has six headset XLR type connectors (two channel A;
two channel Band 2 switchable A or B) and can handle up to 24
headsets via the use of standard microphone cable splitters. The PK1 single channel power pack/main station has three headset XLR
type connectors and will handle up to 12 headsets via the use of standard microphone cable splitters.
Each Minimcom system utilizes a noise cancelling, dynamic microphone which is boom mounted to a single muff or double muff, noise
attenuating headset. Every headset has its own in-line control box
with an adjustable mounting clip. The control box contains microphone and headphone amplifiers and includes a volume control and
on/off switch. The Minicom LS-1 loudspeaker station enables the
user to establish "push to speak" two-way communication in those
situations in which the wearing of a headset is undesirable. For further

Lighting Services has an addition to their family of extruded square
fixtures. The S155 is a clean lined functional fixture for general accent lighting which consumes less power than the larger S160 extruded square by utilizing all medium screw base R30 lamps not
greater than 110 watts. The S155 is fully adjustable and self locking
in all horizontal and vertical planes and is available in a wide variety of
mounting options. Standard LSI colors are black, white, bronze with
black yoke and mounting, brushed aluminum with black yoke and
mounting, and mirror polished aluminium. Other optional accessories
include a cellular metal louver to control spill and glare and a complete range of permanent glass color fillers and a spread lens. Most

2500 Watt Energy-Saving Sylvania Studio Lamp Introduced

New High Brightness Large Screen Television Projectors
New high brightness models are now an important part of General
Electric's full line of professional large screen color and black and
white television projectors. All 15 models in General Electric's line are
standard commercial products, "off the shelf," and in continual production. In the new brightness models, minimum modulated TV light
output has been increased to 500 lumens for color projectors and up
to 2000 lumens for black and white projectors. Lamp modules are designed so that they can be replaced in two minutes. Test equipment
has been integrated into the projectors' system design to simplify operation, maintenance and diagnostic service.
All 15 models of the projector operate on 120 or 220 volls, 50 or
60 Hz., allowing their use without special power sources in most of
the world. Models are available which operate at various scan standards for standard or high resolution applications. A six-page brochure containing application data and technical specifications is available. All models in production are available for immediate sale or long

The introduction of a high-output energy-saving Sylvania fill-light
for film, theatrical and television studio use has been announced by
GTE. Known as the 2500-watt Brite-Arc Studio lamp, the new light
source provides about 96 lumens of light per watt, which is approximately four times higher in efficiency than incandescent or tungstenhalogen studio lamps. A medium-arc-length light source, the new
2500-watt Brite-Arc lamps provide a higher level of daylight illumination than a 1O,OOO-watttungstenhalogen lamp filtered for daylight at a
balance color temperature of 5600 degrees Kelvin. In addition to energy savings and sustained high light output, fewer lamps are required when Sylvania Brite-Arc lamps are used and cooler operating
temperatures result, reducing expenditures for cooling. Sylvania
Brite-Arc lamps are designed for use in follow-spots, broads and fresnels designed for use with HMI-type lamps. For futher information,
