What Brokerage Means for Intermodal
The spot freight market has reached record levels as the
search for trucking capacity has become almost frantic at times
during 2018. Even when demand is lower, the spot market has
been increasing in importance, both in providing immediate
solutions to capacity needs and an indicator of rate trends. Brokers have been at the center of this fast-moving market, seeking
the best match of suppliers and buyers of capacity. Intermodal's
role has been limited in spot market transactions up to now. The
session will evaluate how that could change.

effectively.
