Talent recruitment and retention remains
a top priority for the IBAO. Discussion
continues on the need to attract fresh new
talent to the industry. We are focused on
continuing to grow our partnerships with
post-secondary institutions across Ontario
to help foster young talent entering the
industry and showcase the benefits of
choosing the broker channel.

Highlights
Developed a focused recruitment strategy that hones in on:
* Awareness of the Broker Channel
* Getting Interested People Licensed
* Connecting Individuals with Jobs
Our Broker Mentorship Program pairs brokers with students from insurance programs in Ontario
colleges
Post-Secondary partnerships continue to grow. 2022 saw our partners increase from six to eight-with
potential for more in 2023. These partnerships will help us to continue to better develop and offer our
Job Fair, Co-Op webinars, Co-Op programs and Mentorship Program to more students
We introduced our first IBAO Convention Job Fair where we saw record-setting engagement.
IBAO members were matched with job seekers from our partner colleges and the general public
Our Co-Op Webinars inspire brokerages to bring on and support co-op students within their teams
RIBO Level One Sponsorships-we are continuing to offer free exams for college students who qualify
IBAO & Humber College partnered and introduced a new Certificate Program starting in 2023-
Insurance Broker: Commercial Account Manager Certificate Program-developed to offer more
education options and increase the number of skilled commercial lines professionals working at
independent brokerages across Ontario
