WHAT'S THE MOST INTERESTING SITUATION YOU'VE
ENCOUNTERED WITH A CANNABIS CLIENT?

JG: A colleague of mine recently had a client approach them about the
purchase of a new home. Upon inspection, it was discovered the home
was used to grow cannabis. The desire to insure that home decreased
significantly due to the risk of mold and altered wiring and electrical. It
posed a real challenge to everyone involved.
TM: I've had a couple of clients who run businesses that involve trucking.
They've questioned how to ensure their drivers aren't under the influence
while driving, particularly if they're using oils or edibles.
SO: I've had inquiries on providing cargo liability coverage for trucking
companies hauling cannabis in bulk. I'm interested to see what types of
premium this coverage would incur due to its value and propensity for theft.
DR: Typically it's us asking the questions to get clients thinking of the
potential impact and loss from this new normal, and how they can work to
mitigate it.
CANNABIS HAS BEEN LINKED TO RELAXATION-
WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE WAY TO RELAX?

JG: I like to wind down at the end of the day with a good workout or run
and then settle in for a movie with a glass of red wine.
TM: Exercise is my choice after a day at work-running, yoga or biking.
SO: I love to smash golf balls at the driving range or have a cold pint on a
patio after a long day.
DR: Either a walk or quiet time with classical music. I recently discovered
a South African pianist, Jeffery Munk. His original arrangements are the
perfect relaxing distraction for me.
