THE OUTCOME

By putting the solution to test through these exercises and multiple
rounds of feedback, you're essentially running the idea through a rock
tumbler and smoothing rough edges early in the process before investing
any capital. It may seem costly to get high-level people to dedicate this
time to a design workshop, but it saves project costs in the long run and
helps prevent investment in doomed projects that might've otherwise
gotten off the ground without this level of scrutiny.
"Every sprint we've done has delivered something of value," said
Jonathan. "Obviously in the best case the prototype tests really well
with end users and moves into production, but even when the test fails,
the sprint process is structured so all ideas are captured in concrete,
understandable form. You're also guaranteed deep insights into how
customers approach a business-relevant problem."
You may be thinking about which business problem you have that you

Impactful workshops typically run the
course of a week, though they can be done
over shorter time periods
You'll need a dedicated space, with as few
distractions as possible
There will be periods of silent work, so
being separated from the buzz of the office
is ideal
Some of the exercises require supplies like
a whiteboard, markers, pens, sticky notes,
etc.
Participants should set their phones aside
throughout the workshop to remove
distraction
Remember to designate one person as the
Decider-their vote will break any ties and
they'll own or lead the project once the
workshop ends
