H

ow do people choose their career path in
life? Sometimes they've always known
what they wanted to do-which happens
rarely-those lucky ones who don't seem
to question their career decisions, whose paths
appear relatively straightforward.

We're tackling recruitment head on with a larger
initiative that incorporates strategic partnerships,
an online job board and outbound marketing
strategies like this campaign that targets young
professionals looking for new, rewarding careers.
We're creating an easy transition for this new market
to join your brokerages and make the broker channel
even stronger.

Sometimes they do what their parents did, which
happens disproportionately often across the broker
channel. In the past this played out well, but now
poses significant risk for brokerages large and small.

So if you know someone looking for a new
opportunity, talk to them about the possibilities within
the broker channel, including what it's done for you.

But very often, someone in their lives checks in at
the exact right moment and guides them towards a
career they hadn't previously considered. As was my
case, not with marketing but with insurance as an
industry-definitely at no point on my radar.
I was one of those people with a very clear, clearly
incorrect picture of typical insurance brokers and
brokerages. Yes, exactly what came to mind right
there.
But at the exact moment I was looking for a
change, a friend popped into my life who worked in
marketing for a large insurance company. She was
very convincing that the opportunity to represent
the broker channel was full of potential. Now, many
years after joining the IBAO team, I'm perhaps even
more excited by the seemingly endless possibility.

HAD THAT FRIEND
NOT POPPED INTO MY
LIFE AT THAT MOMENT,
I LIKELY WOULDN'T
HAVE JOINED
THIS INCREDIBLE
COMMUNITY
OF INSURANCE
PROFESSIONALS.

More importantly, had that friend not popped
into my life at that moment, I likely wouldn't have
joined this incredible community of insurance
professionals.
