in the community HUB International in Chatham donated Bipper blankets and t-shirts to Hope Haven, the men's homeless shelter in Chatam. Hope Haven is fundraising for Boxes & Blankets, where sponsors and local community influences raise money and sleep overnight in just a cardboard box and a blanket. After hearing about this cause, the IBAO also donated additional Bipper T-Shirts to Hope Haven as well. Birkett-Hassard Insurance participated in the Stouffville Terry Fox Run, despite the rainy weather, they raised $2,375 for cancer research. The Ronald McDonald House Charity of Southwestern Ontario received a $350 donation on behalf of McFarlan Rowlands of London-York. Ronald McDonald Houses provide welcoming home environments that give families emotional and physical comfort as they stay close to a hospital where their child is being treated. The Ottawa Insurance Brokers Association held their Annual General Meeting with guest speaker IBAO President Jeff Gatcke.
